Portable drugs scanner

 

 

It is of paramount importance that the drugs received by recipient, regardless if it is patients or hospital, that the drugs are authentic, not counterfeit or adulterated. Spectroscopic method such as Raman, NIR, etc have attractive numerous interests as they are non-destructive, non-contact and non-invasive methods. A Raman spectrum offers high chemical specificity and it can offer a means to identify (ID) drugs for its authenticity.

Working closely with our client, we have developed a portable Pill ID system based on Raman spectroscopy. This system is meant to be transported easily to be used on-site at any facilities and have scanned more than 500 different types of pharmaceutical drug tablets.
