Standoff Raman

With the rise of terrorism worldwide and the use of explosives and bio-agents, a remote non-destructive testing method is highly needed. In this area, Technospex had developed a standoff Raman system for a University research whereby the system was deployed outdoor and used to measure Raman signal in daylight condition at up to 10m.

The portable system was developed with a inbuilt camera for accurate navigation and pinpoint position of the measurement spot of less than 2mm diameter. Although a Laptop computer was used for data collection, a complete standalone system is easily implementable.
